Milk is good for IW???
Hi,.. I am a brazilian girl who just got two IWs,... And I am going insane because these is a really rare breed in Brazil and professionals disagree about what should I give to IW puppies,.. One side defend that I should give milk to my dogs (in fact is a mixed that takes milk, oats, eggs, water,...) and other side says that is insane to five milk to an IW. And I never study vet, so,... I have no idea,... please could you help me? Thank you in advance! :)
Sorry for the late reply - I was having computer trouble lately. I think you can ask 20 different people about appropriate diets and get 20 different opinions. Basically, I would stick to a large breed growth puppy food. There are certainly people who have had much success feeding the diet you talk about but I feel that feeding a kibble that has a lot of research behind it takes away some of the guess work on how much of each ingredient to feed. I'm not against feeding eggs. oats, fruit, vegetables, etc - I usually feed them as snacks or treats. I don't think there's one diet that's perfect for every single dog, either. Genetics always factors in, too. As your puppies mature you will need to change their diet because their nutritional needs will change. So keep reading and doing your research and hopefully you'll find out what works best for your pups.
